The Early Childhood Program comprises grades playgroup, prekinder, kinder, first , and second. It is in these grades where the foundations for an integral education are layed. Our high quality program provides children from three years of age until eight years of age with a warm and secure environment that promotes their development in all areas: physical, social, emotional, and academic.

Learning is a complex process that takes place because of the interaction between each child’s thoughts and his experiences with the outside world. Children acquire their knowledge by playing with objects and people. With the appropriate materials and equipment, children learn to find solutions to their problems, develop curiosity about how things work, accept individual differences and begin to work cooperatively.

All materials and equipment are grouped in learning centers. These learning centers are areas within a classroom with a collection of activities and materials. These materials are related by subject, purpose, or projected skills. These activities and materials are used independently by the children, or with teacher direction, to reinforce and/or enrich one or more skills or concepts. Learning centers are an excellent way to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children.

The learning centers are:

  • Manipulatives/Math
  • Blocks
  • Art
  • Dramatic Play
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Sand and Water
