VOS is the Colegio Menor Middle School student organization dedicated to the betterment of the Quito community.  Democratically elected representatives from each CT (homeroom) meet weekly to organize student events and plan for community service.  Through VOS, students have had the opportunity to cook breakfasts for multiple senior citizen homes, prepare academic classes and activities for low income schools, participate in talent shows, show their school pride through spirit week competitions, and take responsibility for the safety and security of their campus through student patrol.

In Colegio Menor San Francisco we foster community service programs in which the students take part in making a difference in the larger Ecuadorian community. In previous years, middle school worked with a local public school, inviting the students for a Christmas show, followed by playing games, and ending with sharing a snack and gift.

Presently, with the help of student council, middle school students work with a foundation whose purpose is to provide an educational center for the children of adults working as garbage scavengers at a major Quito dumpsite. The goal is to exchange learning experiences with these children.
