In Colegio Menor San Francisco we foster community service programs in which the students take part in making a difference in the larger Ecuadorian community. In previous years, middle school worked with a local public school, inviting the students for a Christmas show, followed by playing games, and ending with sharing a snack and gift.
Presently, with the help of student council, middle school students work with a foundation whose purpose is to provide an educational center for the children of adults working as garbage scavengers at a major Quito dumpsite. The goal is to exchange learning experiences with these children. |
